Obituary: Massender, Lola (Tobler)

MASSENDER, Lola (Tobler) A lifetime resident of Spokane, WA; passed away on February 3, 2013 in Spokane at the age of 92.

Lola was raised and attended school in Spokane and graduated from John Rogers High School.

She married Willard Massender on December 19, 1941.

They were avid campers and members of the Eagles Lodge and Travel Clubs both Spokane and Deer Park.

Lola retired from American Linen in 1981.

Lola was preceded in death by her husband Willard of 60 years and her daughters, Beverly Hunter and Linda Howard; and grandchildren, Gordon Hunter and Laura Koppe.

She is survived by her daughter, Jeannie Ericson; son, Doug Massender (Cherri); daughter, Cindy Koppe (John); daughter, Connie Koentopp (Dennis); 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

All friends and family are welcome to celebrate Lola’s life at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at the Wild Rose Community Center, 6100 W. Wild Rose Rd., Deer Park, WA 99006.

A graveside service will be held at Woodland Cemetery, Deer Park, WA in the spring.
