Candlelight vigil: Chuck and Judy Cox, right, the parents of missing Utah mother Susan Cox Powell, take part in a candlelight vigil for their grandsons, Braden and Charlie Powell, Tuesday in Graham, Wash. The vigil was held at the vacant lot where the home rented by the boys’ father, Josh Powell, once stood. Powell blew up the house during a parental visit with the boys while a social worker was locked outside on Feb. 5, 2012. He was also a suspect in the 2009 disappearance of his wife in Utah. Her parents are asking the Washington Legislature to keep parents who are murder suspects from visiting children. Following a prayer and a period of silence at the spot where the house once stood, Chuck Cox thanked those in attendance. He endorsed neighbors’ plans to raise money to turn the vacant lot into a park or other gathering place “to bring happiness to the neighborhood.”
