Shooters target Spokane Valley home

Authorities are searching for two men in connection with a Tuesday morning shooting in Spokane Valley. Sheriff’s deputies responded to shots fired near 4400 E. First Ave. about 7 a.m., according to Deputy Craig Chamberlin. The victim and a neighbor told deputies someone shot at the residence and deputies located three shotgun shells at the end of the victim’s driveway, Chamberlin said. One round went through a window and traveled through sheet rock and a door frame. None of the occupants inside the residence were injured. A neighbor who called 911 said that he was awake when he heard the shots. He told authorities he went outside and saw a tall, young, white male running south of the victim’s home carrying a black shotgun. He was about 6 feet 3 inches tall and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, the neighbor said. Another neighbor said she was outside smoking when she heard gunshots shortly before seeing two white males running south on Dearborn Road. She said one of the males was carrying a dark rifle. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and the other man was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt. Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward information leading to an arrest and conviction in this case.
