COMING UP: Tonight vs. Pepperdine, 8 (KHQ/Root); Saturday vs. LMU, 5 p.m. (KHQ/Root)

OUTLOOK: The Bulldogs beat Pepperdine 78-62 last month behind 45 points from their four bigs, led by Elias Harris’ 18 and Kelly Olynyk’s 16. Gonzaga trailed 36-35 early in the second half before taking control. Pepperdine, which has lost six of its last seven, led BYU with 65 seconds remaining but the Cougars rallied for a 63-61 win last week. The Waves are led by guards Lorne Jackson (14.3 ppg) and Jordan Baker (11.7) and freshman forward Stacy Davis (10.7 ppg, 7.4 rebounds). Gonzaga thumped Loyola Marymount by 45 last week. The Lions have lost six straight games.
