Spokane council to vote on legalizing marijuana
The Spokane City Council votes Monday to change the municipal code to legalize small amounts of marijuana to conform with Washington law.
State voters in November approved Initiative 502, which allows someone over 21 to possess up to one ounce of marijuana.
News reports say Spokane would make it illegal to use marijuana in public — similar to the law against open containers of alcohol on the streets or in parks.
