COMING UP: Tonight at USC (Pac-12 Networks), 8:30; Saturday at UCLA (Pac-12 Networks), 7 p.m.
OUTLOOK: As coach Ken Bone said earlier this week, WSU isn’t worried about the possibility of dipping below its .500 record of 11-11. The way the Cougars see it, they’re already way below .500. Their Pac-12 record says so. With that, they travel to Los Angeles for a tough trip that begins against rejuvenated USC, which won last week at UCLA and is playing looser and better under interim coach Bob Cantu. Eric Wise (12.5 points per game), J.T. Terrell (10.2) and Byron Wesley (10.0) pace the Trojans in scoring, though Terrell has seen his playing time increase since the firing of coach Kevin O’Neill.
