Simple majority is fair

The Spokane City Council is responsible for representing the citizens in satisfying public needs. In assessing these needs, there is often disagreement among council members and so, by extension, the citizens. It has always been the policy to go with majority rules. That has seemed fair.

Proposition 2 supporters want to change that. They say the majority must be denied in their request for needed public services whenever the financing is in the hands of the council. It doesn’t make sense.
