In brief: Boy finds two burglars inside home; details sought

A 14-year-old boy found a man and woman in his home Wednesday while he was staying home sick from school.

The boy said his mother had taken his brother to the doctor and he stayed behind in the home on the 7500 block of East Bigelow Gulch Road. He heard a noise coming from the hallway and thought his mom had returned.

Yet when he walked into his parents’ bedroom, he discovered a pair of strangers.

The burglars are described as a white man and white woman, between 18 and 30 years old. They drove a silver Dodge-style van.

A neighbor told deputies that a Dodge Caravan broke down in front of his house the day before. Two men walked toward the nearby fire station, and two women knocked on his door and asked for gasoline. He told them no and watched them leave. Later he saw the two women leave the garage of the boy’s home carrying a gas can.

Crime Stoppers is looking for any information about this incident. Tipsters can receive a cash reward without giving their name by calling (800) 222-TIPS.
