Nuxoll doesn’t get it

Idaho state Sen. Sheryl Nuxoll has not only shown her complete lack of understanding of the health care issue, but also appears to be against veterans. The only health care system in the United States that is completely owned and controlled by the federal government is the Veterans Affairs, which in her view is “socialist,” and therefore unacceptable.

Private, for-profit insurance companies are in business to create dividends for their shareholders and exorbitant salaries for their management. Payments for health care reduce dividends and salaries and, therefore, are avoided as much as possible. That is one of the reasons the World Health Organization ranks the U.S. 37th. It seems that some in Idaho are proud of that fact, and want to keep it that way.
