Improve Mt. Spokane first

Mt. Spokane wants to draw more skiers to the area by putting a new lift into a pristine wilderness area. But it currently doesn’t operate all the lifts it already has except on weekends.

As a frequent skier at Mt. Spokane, I would humbly suggest that investment in the current area would do far more to attract additional ski and board enthusiasts. Lodge 1 is run-down and functions mainly as a staging area for racers on Saturday, and Lodge 2 is in desperate need of replacement as well. It is not comfortable or family friendly. Plus, getting to the top from Lodge 2 requires taking the “Bunny Chair” before you get on a real lift.

How about improving what exists before expanding further.
