Obituary: Davis, Gwen J.
Age 88
Gwen lived her entire life in Spokane and loved living in the Inland Northwest.
Gwen married the love of her life, Roy Davis, on September 28, 1941 and celebrated 71 years of marriage and life with her beloved Roy until her passing.
She gave birth to three beautiful children, Roy Davis Jr. of Spokane, Shari L. Myers of Manhattan, Kansas and Gary W. Davis.
Her son Gary preceded her in death in 2007.
She attended Lewis and Clark, and Rodgers High Schools.
Gwen was employed at Shadle Park High School as a food service worker for 15 years.
Gwen was a member of The First Church of the Nazarene on Country Homes Blvd.
since 1951 where she served the Lord by offering God’s love through teaching children’s Sunday school and was actively involved in numerous ministries throughout her years as an active member.
Gwen was the youngest of twelve children and is the last of her siblings to pass from life.
Gwen loved gardening, crocheting, cooking, baking and traveling with her husband Roy.
She has multiple grandchildren and became a great-grandmother to Greyson Myers on January 28, 2013.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2013, at 10:00am at the First Church of the Nazarene, 9004 N. Country Homes Blvd., Spokane WA.
Interment at Fairmount Memorial Park, Spokane WA.
