Tips sought in copper and brass theft

Spokane County sheriff’s deputies are looking for information about the theft of copper wire and brass fittings at a north Spokane business early this week. The theft occured at Central Premix on North Crestline Street around 10:30 p.m. Sunday, according to a news release from the Sheriff’s Office. An employee told deputies a man jumped over the fence and entered a storage container on the property. He remained there for about an hour before leaving, but surveillance video shows he returned about 4 a.m. Monday, the Sheriff’s Office said. Deputies said the suspect took about $2,500 worth of copper wire and brass and split bolt connectors from the storage container. Anyone with information should call Crime Check at (509) 456-2233.
