Obituary: Buller, James “J.R.”

Age 66

BULLER, James “J.R.” J.R. was called to be at his brothers Bill and George and his father William’s side in heaven on January 30th, 2013.

J.R. was born in Toledo, Ohio on August 1st, 1946 and graduated from Springfield Local High School in Holland, OH.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carol; mother, Vera Ann Baird of Spokane; sisters, Ann Williams of Astoria, OR and Suzanne Knight of Portland, OR.

Also surviving J.R. are his sons, Darren and Kevin Sparks; and many nieces and nephews and grandchildren who love him dearly and will miss him always.

J.R. retired from the San Diego Transit Authority and moved on to own and manage Dan’s Landing Campground and Resort in Medical Lake, WA.

He was an avid Honda Goldwing rider and was a part of the precision drill team while living in San Diego.

J.R. was also heavily involved in Hayford Community Church on Hayford Rd., in Spokane.

His heavenly voice was heard in the barbershop quartet “Pages of Harmony”.

As an avid joker, it was difficult to know when a story would end in a punch line or with the listener saying “yep, you’ve told me that one before”.

Fishing and cribbage were two of his favorite pastimes and were often shared with his sister Suzanne.

A memorial will be held on February 16th, at 1pm at the Hayford Community Church.
