Inland NW temps hit 50s for first time this year

The afternoon temperature at Felts Field in east Spokane rose to 52 degrees, the first time this year that the city has seen temperatures in the 50s. Spokane International Airport reported a high of 50 this afternoon. Coeur d’Alene went to 52. Cheney and Pullman were at 51. The last time temperatures were this warm was Nov. 30, when the high was 50 at the Spokane airport. Forecasters are calling for a chance of rain or snow on Saturday and Saturday night with highs in the middle 40s and lows in the upper 20s. Cooler temperatures are in store starting Sunday and continuing into next week, with highs in the upper 30s to lower 40s and lows in the 20s.
