Obituary: Bourcy, Erline Helen

Age 87

BOURCY, Erline Helen (Age 87) Entered into rest on February 11, 2013.

Erline was born to Earl E. Mullenix and Helen L. Mullenix (Booth) on September 28, 1925 in Oakland California.

Erline is survived by Brothers Larry Mullenix and John Mullenix, Sisters Betty Gallagher, Judy (Chuck) Little, and Mary (Randy) Manum, Sons Tommy Bourcy, David (Kathleen) Bourcy, and Michael (Tammy) Bourcy, Daughters Dianne Pritt, Marlene Yaeger, and Marcia (George) Bell.

Erline was blessed with and thoroughly enjoyed ten Grandchildren and twenty Great-Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by Brothers Edward Mullenix and Bobby Mullenix and Sister Glenna Hunt.

Erline moved to the Spokane area as a young child where she lived for over 80 years attending North Central High School and raising a family while serving a long career in restaurants and retail service.

Erline began working at a young age at the Milk Bottle Soda Fountain in the Garland District followed by many years at the L&E CafÄ‚Ĺ , Maxwell House Restaurant, Smitty’s Pancake House, J.C. Penny’s, 50% Off Card Shop, and retired from Rosauer’s after 21 years of service.

Erline’s leisurely activities included gardening, crafting, reading, and painting.

She was the true Family Matriarch and her favorite time was always the time spent with her family.

Cremation arrangements are being handled by Neptune Society.

There will be a celebration of Erline’s life at 1:00 PM on April 6, 2013 at the Loon Lake Assembly of God Church, 4004 Colville Rd.

Loon Lake, WA with a reception afterward in the Church.
