Obituary: Eklund, Robert (Bob) R.

EKLUND, Robert R. (Bob) Resident of Liberty Lake, Washington, passed away January 31, 2013.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon; his sons, Scott (Lorinda) and Justin (Kendra); and granddaughters, Hayley and Rae Anne.

After college, he had a career as a food sales representative as well as serving in the Washington Air National Guard.

Technical Sergeant Eklund was a member of the 141st Security Forces as a flightline security specialist.

During his time in the Washington Air National Guard he served in many deployments, including DESERT STORM from 1990-1991.

His son and daughter-in-law joined the Air Guard in 1991, and he was able to participate in various 141st ARW deployments for training and exercises with them.

He retired in 1998 with a total military service time of 22 years.

He lived his life with dignity and honor while enduring the effects of a long illness.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Aloysius Parish, 330 E. Boone Ave., Spokane, WA on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 12:00 noon with inurnment immediately following at Spokane Memorial Gardens.
