Obituary: Pulvermacher, Josefa Joerg

Age 90

PULVERMACHER, Josefa (Joerg) (Age 90) Passed away peacefully on February 13, 2013 in Nine Mile Falls, WA.

Josefa was born on November 8, 1922 in Rosshaupten/Fussen, Bavaria, Germany to Martin and Theresia (Hoermann) Joerg.

She is survived by her two daughters, Anne Kirchner (Bill) of Nine Mile Falls and Patricia Aerni (Dan) of Spokane, WA; sister, Josephine Ashley (Richard) of Florida; brothers-in-law Ralph Pulvermacher (Maxine), and Donald Pulvermacher (Tootie); and sisters-in-law Agnes Sickels (Cecil), Janet Pulvermacher and Donna Pulvermacher, all of Wisconson; three grandsons, Christopher Kirchner, Nathan Kirchner and Michael Russell and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Edmund M. Pulvermacher, on February 13, 2006, her parents, four brothers, and two sisters.

Josefa immigrated to the U.S. in May of 1955 and married her husband, Edmund, on June 21, 1955 in Reno, Nevada.

She became a naturalized U.S. citizen in November, 1958.

Josefa spent most of her life nurturing her family and creating comfortable homes as her husband was transferred from one Air Force base to another.

She enjoyed needlework and sewing, and her home was indeed her castle.

Josefa has been a devoted member of St. Charles since 1967.

A Vigil Rosary service will be held on Monday, February 18, 2013 at 7:00 P.M. in the Alwin Chapel of Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home, 1306 N. Monroe St., Spokane, WA.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4515 N. Alberta St., Spokane with Rev.

Thomas Connolly presiding.

Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Spokane.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the St. Charles Building Maintenance Fund, the Spokane Humane Society, or an animal shelter of your choice.
