Associated Press

EUGENE, Ore. – Jordan Loera had 21 points and 12 rebounds, and Jillian Alleyne contributed 15 points and 17 rebounds Sunday as Oregon defeated Washington State 65-60.

Lia Galdeira led WSU with 19 points and Mariah Cooks scored 11.

The Ducks (4-21, 2-11 Pac-12), who had lost six in a row, have both of their conference wins against the Cougars (10-15, 6-8). They beat Washington State 70-68 on Jan. 25 in Pullman for Oregon’s first sweep of the Cougars since 2008.

Although Oregon never trailed, Washington State closed to within two points with 15 seconds remaining when Galdeira hit a three from the left wing and freshman guard Taylor Edmondson added her own rebound putback. Loera added two free throws for Oregon to seal the win.

Alleyne had 10 points and all 12 of her rebounds in the first half as Oregon built a 28-15 lead.

The Cougars rallied in the second half but were ultimately done in by their 4-for-28 3-point shooting.
