MARBURGER, Idabelle (Age 93) Of Spokane, WA formerly of Williston, ND, died on February 16, 2013. Ida was born July 14, 1919, in Harlem, MT, to Carl and Alma Tarr. She was raised on the family farm near Schweitzer Ski Mountain. Ida was united in marriage to Alden Marburger on March 24, 1952 in Sandpoint, ID. Following their marriage they lived in Williston, ND, where they owned their own airport and Aero Spraying Service business. “You can do it!” is what you would hear her say in one form or another if you spent any time at all with her. Ida learned to fly a J3 Piper Cup airplane and soloed in a short period of time. Ida was a wonderful gourmet cook and it was amazing what she could do with a needle and thread. Ida produced wonderful afghans, quilts, Brazilian embroidery, and made ballet tutus with yards and yards of netting and satin. Ida was a botanist at heart and knew most flowers by name. Ida’s life mottos could have been, “Love God”, “be true to yourself”, and “try it, you can do it!” Ida’s loving family includes daughters, Carol (Butch) Boyce of Minot, ND, Renee (Martin) Schneider of Spokane, WA, and LaRae (Todd) Putz of Spokane, sons Wesley (Vicky) Marburger of Spokane, WA and Randy (Linda) Marburger of Kent, WA; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
