Obituary: Tyree, Beverly Mae

TYREE, Beverly Mae Beverly was born January 11, 1928 to Ed and Mary (Sherman) Hazelton.

She was the youngest of four and the only girl.

Bev attended area schools, including Winton Elementary - the same school her future husband, oldest daughter and four grandchildren attended.

She married Tom Tyree in 1951.

They were married almost 50 years when Tom died in 1999.

They raised their daughter Terri in Coeur d’Alene.

When Terri was 18, Tom and Bev were blessed with their second daughter, Michelle, who was raised in Boise, where they lived for 40 happy years.

Beverly worked for JC Penney in the 1950s and 60s, at the Sherman Avenue location.

She worked her way up from the stock room to credit office manager.

Three years ago, Bev, with her beloved cat Bob, returned to Coeur d’Alene.

She resided at Bestland Retirement Apartments, where she was very happy until two weeks ago when she was admitted to the hospital.

Gardening, crafts, playing (excellent) pinochle, bird watching, reading and music were just a few of her passions.

Bev is survived by her daughter, Terri Meyer, daughter Michelle Redfeldt (Robert), granddaughters Cari Fraser (Scott), Krista Zikos (Erik), La Donna Beaumont (Nigel), grandson David McCaw (Kaori), step grandchildren Kenny Redfeldt and Madison Redfeldt, great grandchildren; Rikki, Emma, Brady, Julia, Jack, Alexander, Joey, Meike, Christopher, Oliver and Markus; wonderful caregiver and dear friend Anna Beggs; extended family, many friends, and her cat Bob.

Mom, we loved you so much, and hope your journey into the next chapter is filled with joy.

Bev will be buried beside her husband Thomas at Cloverdale Memorial Park in Boise, Idaho on Wednesday February 27th.
