Photos released of Sunset Grocery robbery suspect
Police are asking the public to help identify a man seen on camera robbing Sunset Grocery in Browne’s Addition last week.
The department has released photos showing a man outside the store with his face revealed and then inside the store with a bandana covering the lower half of his face.
He is described as light-skinned black or Hispanic man, wearing a distinctive black and white coat with the letters “L A” on the back.
At about 1:20 p.m. on Friday, the man entered the store at 1908 W. Sunset Blvd. and threatened an employee with a knife, demanding money.
He escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said, and ran west down the alley on the north side of the business.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Check at (509) 456-2233 or (509) 242-TIPS (8477).
