Obituary: Paulus, Patricia Louise (Coomes)

PAULUS, Patricia Louise (Coomes) Patty, born September 10, 1956, was a lifelong resident of Spokane.

She attended and graduated from Marycliff in 1975.

Patty was preceded in death by her parents Robert & Jean Coomes.

She is survived by her three children: Thomas (Kristy), Anne, and Caity.

Her eight brothers and sisters: Carol (Bruce) Titus, Mike Coomes, Mark (Jackie) Coomes, Robbie (John) Bailey, David Coomes, Tom (Kate) Coomes, Kevin (Donnell) Coomes, and Tim (Kristin) Coomes.

And numerous nieces and nephews.

Patty greatly enjoyed spending time with her family and many, many friends.

She worked for Sacred Heart as a lab technician for 26 years, and also put time in at Deaconess as well.

A few of Patty’s favorite pastimes included ‘cruising’ on her motorcycle, and playing softball with the girls.

In the last few years the team, along with ‘Coach’, travelled to the Senior Olympics in San Francisco and Houston; winning bronze and silver medals.

Patty was a long-time avid Gonzaga Women’s Basketball fan, attending games faithfully for years.

In lieu of flowers, Patty and the family ask that you make contributions in her honor to Coaches vs. Cancer.

A Rosary will be held Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Friday March 1st, at 7pm.

Followed by a memorial service in the Sacred Heart Chapel in the Doctors Building on Saturday March 2nd, at 1pm.
