Miller joins legends

Denver Nuggets guard Andre Miller scored the 15,000th point of his NBA career on a mid-range jumper in the first quarter against Minnesota, becoming the eighth player to score that many and dish out at least 7,500 assists. John Stockton, Oscar Robertson, Gary Payton, Isiah Thomas, Magic Johnson, Jason Kidd and Steve Nash also have accomplished the feat. In typical Miller fashion, the 36-year-old downplayed the approaching milestone before the game. Said Miller: “A big individual accomplishment … I try not to dwell on it. I never even thought about it. It’s good to get it over with.”
