Save the caribou

I read the Dec. 19 article “Caribou threat re-examined,” and I think it’s disgusting that the last of America’s woodland caribou may be removed from protected status and forced into extinction because members of the Idaho State Snowmobile Association want to invade the last 30,100 acres of caribou habitat.

Are Idaho snowmobilers really so selfish that they refuse to give these struggling creatures a chance for survival?

Shame on the Idaho State Snowmobile Association and shame on the U.S. Wildlife Service for even considering caving in to this special interest group.
