Weather week preview: snow, rain, cold
New snow will accompany students back to school after the two-week holiday break.
One to three inches is expected Monday morning in the Spokane and Coeur d’Alene area, the National Weather Service said.
It’s likely to turn to rain in the afternoon with highs forecast in the mid-30s.
Rain looks more likely Tuesday and Wednesday as well as daytime temperatures reach the high 30s and low 40s.
Later in the week the weather will turn colder, with overnight lows below 20.
