Obituary: Beyer, Bernard J. “Bernie”
BEYER, Bernard J. “Bernie” (Age 58) Bernie passed away on New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2012 at Valley Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, Florian and Louise Beyer. Born in January 1954, he was a lifelong resident of Spokane and graduated from West Valley High School in 1973. He had worked at restaurants and in maintenance before his illnesses started to take their toll. Bernie had a green thumb and loved fishing at the area lakes. Born in January 1954, he was a lifelong resident of Spokane and graduated from West Valley High School in 1973. He had worked at restaurants and in maintenance before his illnesses started to take their toll. Bernie had a green thumb and loved fishing at the area lakes. One of his favorite memories was a family trip to Ireland. He is survived by a brother, Dan Beyer, Palm Coast FL; and his sisters in Spokane, Noreen (Todd) Rooks and Kathy (Matt) Lindgren. He was Uncle Bernie to his dear nieces and nephews: Natalie, Wade, Patrick, Laura, Justin, Rachel, and Connor. He is also survived by four cousins and his very good friend, Marilyn. Special thanks to the wonderful staff and favorite nurses at Valley Dialysis on N. Pines for their loving care over the last ten years. A private burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery this week. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, March 9, 2013 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 503 N. Walnut, Spokane Valley, WA. The family suggests memorial contributions to The Evergreen Club, 2102 E. Sprague, Spokane, WA 99202. SPOKANE CREMATION & FUNERAL SERVICE.
