Obituary: Smith, Edna A

Age 96

SMITH, Edna A (Age 96) Passed away December 31st, 2012 in Post Falls, Idaho.

Born to George and Lela Dyer in St John, Washington on July 14th, 1916; On November 7th, 1937, Edna was married to Frank Eastman Smith in Worley, Idaho, where they farmed together for 50 years.

Edna moved to Coeur d’Alene after Frank passed away in 1994.

Edna belonged to the Worley Grange and spent 18 years as a leader for 4H.

She was also the recipient of numerous awards and was even a founding member of the Worley Homemaker’s Club.

Edna is survived by two sons and their wives: Gene Smith and his wife Bertie of Post Falls, and Terry Smith and his wife Jaye of Coeur d’Alene.

She is also survived by six grandchildren: Debbie Smith, Brian Smith, Cindy Smith-Loraas, Shawn Smith, and Lindsay Smith and her husband Ray Woollams; Edna also has two great-grandchildren; Alexandra and Kalvin Loraas, as well as her step grandson Steven Young and his wife Delinda and their two children, Spencer and Matthew Young.

Edna is preceded in death by her husband Frank, and her four brothers: Ken, George, Lloyd, and Glenn.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 12th at 11 am at English Funeral Chapel, Coeur d’Alene with burial to follow at Forest Cemetery, Coeur d’Alene.
