More than 200 car batteries stolen in Spokane Valley

Authorities are looking for a thief or thieves responsible for more than 200 car battery thefts. Spokane Valley property crimes detectives say the thief or thieves stole the batteries from fenced-in areas at both Spokane Valley Wal-Marts during the last two months. Detectives are asking for assistance from the public in identifying the owner of the white truck in the surveillance video. Crime Stoppers of the Inland Northwest is offering a cash reward for anyone providing information leading to an arrest in these thefts. Tips can be called in to the Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 1-800-222-TIPS, or submitted at www.crimestoppersinlandnorthwest.org. Tipsters do not have to give their name to collect the cash reward.
