Best bets on the Tube

Friday Night Ice, the Western Hockey League’s six-game package with Root Sports makes its season debut tonight with the Tri-City Americans’ game at the Kelowna Rockets (7 p.m.). It is the fourth season of the league’s multiyear broadcast agreement with Root, which is available in 3.2 million homes across five U.S. states. The Spokane Chiefs will be featured twice in the six games, Feb. 1 at Kamloops and March 8 at home against Everett. In addition, there are three games remaining (Jan. 19, Feb. 9 and Feb. 16) in the nine-game package of the Tri-City vs. Spokane series that airs on SWX. All games in both packages air at 7 p.m.
