Spokane homeless told to pack their tents

Associated Press
SPOKANE — Homeless people who have been camping under an Interstate 90 viaduct in downtown Spokane are facing a deadline this afternoon to move on. Police on Thursday handed out 24-hour notices to pack up their tents. Social workers are helping the homeless find temporary housing, news reports show. But those who don’t comply with the city’s new policy could be arrested.
