Obituary: Mcleod, Roderick Blair

Age 77

MCLEOD, Roderick Blair Roderick Blair McLeod was born on May 17th 1935, in Missoula Montana and passed on January 5th 2013, the morning after his 55th wedding anniversary.

Rod was a talented young golfer growing up in Spokane.

He won several City Championships and other tournaments before going into the Theatrical Stagehands Business.

He then moved to San Francisco to work at the San Francisco Opera House as a Stagehand and then eventually moved into a position with the Stagehand Union as a Asst.

Business Agent then President in later years and finally retiring as a Business Agent in 1995.

Rod Played weekend golf at the Peacock Gap Country Club in Marin County where he made many dear friends and achieved 6 Club Championships.

After retiring, he moved to Hayden Lake where he became a member of the Hayden Lake Country Club.

He was involved with the Club and enjoyed many dear friends.

He achieved 2 Club Championships at Hayden and spent some of his happiest days with the members in the Grill and on the Course.

Rod was preceded in death by his wife Nancy McLeod, his Father John A McLeod, his mother June McLeod, Brothers Leslie Blair McLeod and Vern McLeod, and niece Blair MacKenzie.

Rod is survived by his son, John McLeod and his daughter- in- law Kathy McLeod and his grandson, Blair McLeod.

His sister Rita J Neill, nieces; Remy MacKenzie and family, Heather Haisley and family; sister- in-law Sherrie Haisley and family, Claire McLeod and nephews; Eric Haisley and family and John Neill and family.

There will be a Memorial at St Pius X Catholic Church and Burial at Fairmont Cemetery in Spokane in the spring.
