Warming centers activated tonight

The City of Spokane is activating its warming centers for the second night in a row tonight. The warming centers open when the temperatures dip below 15 degrees. Lows are expected to reach 11 degrees tonight, according to the National Weather Service. Warming centers will be open at 8 p.m. until 7 a.m. Sunday. Single adult men can go to First Covenant Church, 212 S. Division. Families with children and couples can warm up at the Salvation Army, 222 E. Indiana Ave., and single adult women can go to Hope House, 111 W. Third Ave. As of Friday night, Crosswalk Teen Shelter, 525 W. Second Ave., had beds available.
