Obituary: Lefevre, Marjorie Ann
No service will be held for Mrs. Lefevre, as Neptune Society is in charge of the arrangements.
Marjorie, a lifelong resident of Ritzville, was born on August 10, 1931 in Ritzville, WA to William and Dena (Thiel) Oestreich.
She attended Ritzville schools, graduating from Ritzville High School in 1949.
She also attended Whitman College.
She married Alan Pete Lefevre on April 4, 1953 in the Philadelphia Congregational Church.
Together they had four children.
She worked at the Adams County Courthouse for Superior Court Judge Freese until her marriage.
She later returned to working at the courthouse in the Adams County Clerk’s office when her children were all in school, until her retirement.
After retirement, Pete and Marjorie enjoyed traveling to the Army reunions of the 84th ECB around the country.
They kept in close contact with the Korean War vets and spouses.
She was a loving mom and housewife who always kept her love of music, playing the organ often, and passing that love of music on to her children and grandchildren.
Other passions were her love of cats and an even greater passion - sewing, especially quilting.
She has also passed that quilting legacy on to her daughters, and now her granddaughter.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Survivors include her children: sons, Andrew and Lindsey Lefevre of Ritzville, daughters, Jeannine (Lefevre) Steiner and husband, Roy, of Columbus, NE and Suzanne Lefevre of Kennewick, WA.
Also, her much beloved grandchildren: Jacob and Austin Steiner of Omaha, NE and Anna Steiner of Lincoln, NE.
Marjorie will always be remembered with great affection by all those who knew her, whether a family member, friend or acquaintance.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to either the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
A memorial service for interment of her ashes will be in mid-July, when all family members and friends can attend and travel safely.
A notice will be posted in the paper with details when they are finalized.
