Obituary: Thoren, Melvin Randolph

THOREN, Melvin R. Melvin Randolph Thoren, age 91, passed away peacefully January 2, 2013.

He was a life-long wheat and cattle rancher in the Leahy Jct./Delrio area.

He married Elsie (Shine) Vantie Gehrke on February 24, 1945.

They had six children: Rosanna Spooner, Linda Williams, Colleen Thoren, Randy Thoren, Marcia Thoren and Karen Gilbert.

Five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Anna Thoren; his wife, Shine; a sister, Viola Jess, and a daughter, Karen Gilbert.

A memorial/ potluck/reunion will be held at the ranch in the late spring.

He will be sorely missed by his family and many friends.
