Obituary: Christensen, Harriett May

CHRISTENSEN, Harriett (Age 76) Harriett May Christensen has left to be with “Daddy”.

She passed away in Spokane, WA (December 8th, 2012) after fighting back to health many times in the last few years.

As a young adult she lived in Spokane until 1969 when the family moved to Moses Lake.

Harriett, or “Hattie” to some, was full of spunk and energy.

She was always busy crafting, sewing, cooking or volunteering.

During the many years in Moses Lake, Harriett worked as a Mary Kay Representative, Property Manager and then found work that drew on her passion for all animals, managing the Grant County Animal Shelter.

She and husband, Bob, both worked for the Moses Lake Senior Center.

At the passing of her soul mate, she moved in with youngest son, Wayne.

The last couple of years of her life she resided with her daughter and family in Summit Valley, WA.

She truly enjoyed the country setting and the many white tail deer she shared the property with.

Harriett was born in Hollister, CA on September 26th, 1936.

She married Robert Christensen, September 14th, 1959.

They were happily married until his passing in April 2009.

Harriett is survived by her daughters, Cora and Linda, and two sons, Robert and Wayne; two stepchildren, Crystal and Bob; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Senior Center in Moses Lake, WA, Saturday, January 19th, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. Come help us celebrate the life of our beloved Mom.

A reception will follow the service.
