Obituary: Mors, George Gary
Age 76
He was born in Spokane on January 22, 1937 to Alfred & Pearl Mors, the youngest of seven children.
After high school, he served in the US Coast Guard, based in Port Angeles, beginning his love of the open water.
He met the light of his life, Jeannie Marie Kivett in 1965 and soon settled down with his new bride in Spokane Valley.
Gary worked in the Heavy Haul Transportation Logistics industry, eventually opening his own brokerage business, Trans-Action Associates in 1984.
He was determined to take care of his customers; a hospital stay did not stop him from making calls up until the day he passed.
Gary was best known for his legendary sense of humor; you could always count on him for a new joke to make you laugh or blush.
He truly loved fishing and boating, the lake and fish didn’t matter as long as he was on the water looking for his beloved bald eagles.
He and Jeannie rooted on the Spokane Chiefs and Gonzaga Women’s Basketball for many seasons, making new friends along the way.
Gary met his cronies every week at Mike’s Donuts to trade gossip and jokes over a glazed old-fashioned.
Most of all, he adored his nine grandchildren: Andru, Morgan, Tony, Spencer, Bailey, Dustin, Ali, Delaney & Eric.
We are sure he is in Heaven eating a fried egg sandwich for breakfast and apple omelet with a slice of cheddar for dinner.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother and five sisters.
Gary is survived by his fun-sized wife Jeannie, children Jillana (Daniel) Worrell, Janet (Daryl) Williams, Jeffery (Catherine) Mors, James (Michelle) Mors, “adopted” son Tim Haines and his loyal companion, Bandit, along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Services are Wednesday January 16, 2:00pm at Spokane Valley Nazarene Church, 20th and Sullivan.
