Baker honored

Montana’s Katie Baker, the former Lake City High School standout, was named the Big Sky Conference women’s basketball co-Player of the Week.

Baker, who shares the award with Sacramento State’s Fantasia Hilliard, had 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting in Montana’s 77-45 win over North Dakota last Thursday. On Saturday, Baker collected her fourth double-double in six league games, scoring 18 points and grabbing 10 rebounds in the 56-42 win over Northern Colorado.

It was the second career weekly award for Baker.
