Ditch this strategy

Our congresswoman’s car keeps pulling to the left. She won’t fix the car and has decided to stop making her car payments. The bank will repossess the car, but the congresswoman doesn’t care as she would rather have no car than one that pulls to the left. If you see her walking down the highway, you might want to offer her a ride. Take the time to point out that your car drives down the middle of the lane, right where you steer it.

There is no need to wreck our economy because representatives like our congresswoman can’t steer the government down the political center. What’s the point of steering so far to the right that you put the government’s car in the ditch?

The Republican Party seems willing to prevent the government from paying its bills and steer us into economic failure by not paying our debts. Republicans hope economic failure will bring them success in the next election. Then they can steer our state car off the economic road and into a rollover. That’s exactly what they did their last time behind the wheel when they put two wars and Plan D Medicare on a national credit card.
