MAC to reinstate Sunday hours
The Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture will be open on Sundays starting in early February, the museum said today.
The MAC cut Sunday hours about four years ago due to budget cuts and the down economy, said spokeswoman Rebecca Bishop.
Forrest Rodgers, the museum’s executive director, said the MAC is working on new programs for the weekends, some to be offered in collaboration with other community organizations. Being open on Sundays should help attract families, he said in a news release.
The museum’s new hours will be Wednesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday hours begin on February 3.
