Obituary: Fiorito, Pauline

Age 96

FIORITO, Pauline (Age 96) On Friday, January 11, 2013, my loving mother entered Heaven.

Pauline was born April 23, 1916 in Spokane to Jim and Rose Costanzo, the second of nine children.

Pauline grew up and lived her whole life in Spokane, attending school and working on her father’s farm.

On October 13, 1934 she married Cecil Fiorito and, as his wife, resided at her home on Thor Street for 78 years.

She had such a great interest in gardening and raising chickens, coming from a farming background.

She had one of the finest gardens in Spokane, growing and canning up to 1,000 quarts of vegetables and fruit a year.

She remained married for almost 60 years and then continued gardening and raising chickens until she was 90.

Her legacy she left was one of a dedicated wife and a generous friend to many friends and relatives.

She leaves behind a son, James Fiorito; and one brother, Augustine Costanzo.

She also leaves numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.

My sincere thanks to Hospice for the wonderful care they showed her in her final days.

A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 19, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church, 2120 E. 1st Avenue.
