Cardinals break free in 2nd half
Jalil Abdul-Bassit scored a game-high 24 points and North Idaho used a 20-point advantage in the second half to run away from Eastern Utah 71-44 in a Scenic West Athletic Conference basketball game on Thursday night in Coeur d’Alene.
Keon Lewis added 10 points and James Webb nine points and nine rebounds for the Cardinals.
Abdul-Bassit made 9 of 17 from the field, including 4 of 9 3-pointers.
Jason Timpf scored 16 points for Eastern Utah, which trailed 29-22 at halftime.
