Obituary: Moore, Carol Louise

MOORE, Carol Louise (Age 83) Entered into rest January 12, 2013 in Spokane, WA.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Kenneth Moore; seven children, Pam Clark, Karen Wallace, David Moore (Gerri), Dan Moore (Kaye), John Moore (Karen), Scott Moore (Lisa), Kevin Moore (Mary Ellen); 16 grandchildren, Tom Clark, Kristen Anderson, Michael Clark, Geoffrey Wallace, Jeremy Wallace, Miranda Moore, Whitney Moore, Jamie Moore, Riley Moore, Ryan Moore, Gavin Moore, Hailey Moore, Cameron Moore, Adam Moore, Emily Moore, Allison Moore; eight great-grandchildren, Cooper, Kylie, Camden, Hunter, Makayla, Mackenzie, Tristan, Taylor; a brother, James Nyborg (Carolee); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Carol was born in Havre, Montana but lived most of her life in Spokane.

She graduated from Lewis & Clark High School and Kinman Business University.

Following graduation, she worked at Washington Water Power and soon after met the love of her life, her husband Kenneth, and family became her main career.

Carol was a longtime active member of Grace Lutheran Church and later Zion Lutheran Church.

She served as organist at both churches for over 60 years, beginning at age 16.

She worked side by side with Kenneth, who served as choir director at both churches.

She played for numerous weddings, soloists and musical gatherings throughout the area and was also the organist at Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Homes.

Carol was always very active in the community.

She cared for others, both young and old, never putting herself first.

Raising her family, music ministry, and sharing the love of God were her passions.

She was loving, thoughtful, gentle, compassionate, humble, and above all, a servant of God.

Memorial services will be 11:00 am on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Zion Lutheran Church, 8304 East Buckeye, Spokane, WA.

Memorial contributions may be made in Carol’s name to Zion Lutheran Church or Camp Lutherhaven.
