Area teams win Dreams

Mead topped Chiawana for the 4A title while University and East Valley also claimed victories at the Dream Duals Saturday night at East Valley.

The Panthers won nine of the 14 matches and beat Chiawana 48-21.

Seven of Mead’s wins came by way of pin.

At 120 pounds, the Panthers’ Max Peterson edged Chris Montelong 5-3 and Mead’s Camron Hunt beat Jadin Salazar 4-2 at 138 pounds.

University claimed the 3A title with a 45-18 win over Enumclaw.

The Titans’ John Fairbanks (160) and Austin Stannard (170) both won their matches 5-3.

East Valley topped Orting 36-23 for the 2A title.

The Knights’ Damon King recorded the quickest pin of the match, taking down Orting’s Trent Lochridge in 31 seconds at 195 pounds.

Selkirk claimed the B title.
