Obituary: Wilson, Elmer Herbert

Age 86

WILSON, Elmer Herbert (January 30, 1927 - January 11, 2013) Elmer was born in Enaville, ID to Finnish parents, Ina and Andrew Wilson on January 30, 1927 and passed away in Spokane, WA on January 11, 2013.

Elmer grew up on the North Fork of the Coeur d’ Alene River.

After serving briefly in WWII he moved to Spokane and married Hulda Martz.

Elmer worked as a meat cutter at Hygrades.

He enjoyed gardening, fishing, nature, picnics, and camping.

He was a quiet, kind and gentle man who loved helping his family, friends and neighbors.

His smile, laughter and bright blue eyes could light up a room.

Elmer is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Hulda Wilson; sister, Elva Miller; sister-in-law Esther Ernst and several nieces and nephews.

At this time there are no services scheduled.

Per Elmer’s request he will be scattered on the North Fork River.

The family wishes to thank Family First Senior Care, Henderson House and Hospice of Spokane for all of their loving care.

You will be truly missed Uncle Elmer.
