She was born on October 12th, 1926 in Tacoma, Washington.
She was the only child of Agnes and Jean Sherman.
She graduated from Stadium High School in 1946.
In 1949 she met and married Lieutenant Howard L. Jensen in a military wedding at the McChord Air Force Base Chapel.
She accompanied her husband throughout his Air Force career as he transferred to numerous bases at home and abroad.
She enjoyed the social life and the travel involved with an Air Force career.
She was active in Air Force social life and she served as president of the Officers Wives Club in Mariana Florida.
She especially enjoyed Alaska and Guam and always had the desire to return to Alaska.
When her husband retired form the Air Force they established a home in Tacoma Washington.
In 1978 she moved with her husband to Spokane where they settled on the South Hill.
Throughout her life, she especially enjoyed hosting visits from her family and her grandchildren.
She loved to host all major holiday events in her home.
Easter holidays usually found her coloring Easter eggs with her grandchildren or having Easter eggs hunts for the family members of all ages.
She loved having a good time and was always a willing participant in games.
She loved to go fishing and was always a willing fishing partner to her husband.
She is survived by her husband of sixty four years; retired USAF Lt. Col. Howard Jensen; two grandchildren Jane Snyder and Kathie Dickie.
She leaves behind four great-grandchildren and eight great-great- grandchildren.
