Betty was born on November 21, 1930 in Spokane, WA to Wesley and Alice Loeper.
She grew up in the Cheney area where she met her husband, Francis Splichal (who preceded her in death).
They raised three children; Carol (Brandon) Clark Bedminster, New Jersey, Diane Barton (who preceded her in death) and Jerry (Kari) Splichal, Spangle, WA.
There are six grandchildren: Megan Clark, Grant Clark, Ryan Bothman, Susie Seigendall, Shawna Hendricks and Jerrad Jeske, along with seven great-grandchildren.
Betty’s career in the banking industry totaled 54 years.
She was employed with the Old National Bank and Washington State Employees Credit Union.
Betty, too, worked part time at the Spokane Arena for 17 years and finally retired in January 2012.
Betty loved socializing and surrounding herself with many friends and family.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, January 26 at 2:00 p.m. at the Rosalia IOOF Cemetery.
After the service, everyone is invited to attend a dinner party in Betty’s honor at the Spangle Community Service Center.
