Obituary: Strobridge, Thomas G. “Tom”

Age 78

STROBRIDGE, Thomas G. “Tom” (Age 78) Tom passed away peacefully on January 18, 2013 in Spokane Valley, WA with his family surrounding him.

He was born on January 18, 1935 to Glen and Irene (Ziemantz) Strobridge.

He graduated from Gonzaga High School in 1953 and then was drafted into the U.S. Army, serving for six years.

Tom returned to Spokane to work in the automotive parts business for many years.

He married Kathleen Peters on November 26, 1966 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosalia, WA and then moved to Spokane Valley.

Together they raised four children, Carissa (David) Gregg of Spokane Valley, Anissa Strobridge of Tacoma, WA; Melissa Strobridge of Kennewick, WA and Patrick Strobridge of Seattle, WA.

Tom loved vacationing at Washington and Oregon coast beaches with family and friends, watching Seahawks football, Gonzaga University Basketball and being with his grandchildren.

Tom is survived by his wife of 46 years, Kathleen; four children; two grandchildren, Noelle and Noah Gregg; Maxine the cat; his two brothers, James and Lee Strobridge; one sister, Mina Blazek, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, John Strobridge.

Vigil Service will be held Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at 7 PM at the funeral home.

A Funeral Mass will take place Thursday, January 24, 2013 at 11 AM at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, with Inurnment at Holy Cross Cemetery.

A special and heartfelt thanks to the Valley Hospital and Medical Center ICU staff.
