Pargo odd man out

After working out a trade with the Memphis Grizzlies, the Cleveland Cavaliers cut Jeremy Pargo. Memphis agreed Tuesday to deal forward Marreese Speights, guards Wayne Ellington and Josh Selby, and a future first-round draft pick to Cleveland for Jon Leuer. To make room for the three new players on their roster Cleveland let Pargo go. The former Gonzaga point guard averaged 7.8 points-per-game and 2.6 assists-per-game in 25 apperances for the Cavaliers this season. The trade is the first big move by the Grizzlies’ new ownership and gets Memphis under the luxury tax threshold this season. The deal gives the lottery-bound Cavs another first-round pick to improve a team with the second worst record in the Eastern Conference. – AP
