Photo: A smile that melts

Restoration work: JC Conrad, 44, of Spokane Valley, pounds a painted plywood piece back into the smile of his giant snowman Friday. The warming temperatures caused the wood to drop. Conrad, along with his daughter, Asia, 19, left, and other family members used 5-gallon buckets to collect snow from neighbors’ driveways in the 13900 block of East 26th Avenue to add to the snowman’s height and bulk.
