Obituary: Harris, Annette Marcella
HARRIS, Annette Marcella Born on November 25, 1926 and returned to meet her dear Savior on January 17, 2013. She leaves behind her beloved children: John Harris (Vicki), David Harris (Anne), Randall Harris (Maureen), and Cheryl Parrish (Phil) and ten grandchildren: including Adam Harris (Ciara Johnson), Heather Harris-Mace (Kevin), Rachel Harris, Emily Harris, Craig Harris, Alyssa Harris, Erin Parrish-Coulston (Stephen), Rebecca Parrish-Jansen (Brendon), Phillip Parrish (Bethany) and Alexandra Parrish (Joshua). Annette also leaves behind eight great-grand- children: including Grace and Olivia Harris-Mace, Helena, Dillon and Barret Parrish-Coulston, Sterling Parrish-Jansen, Audrey Parrish and Norah Parrish, and a brother Vernon Berger. Our mother was a participant in life with unending energy and excitement. Raised on a farm in Cut Bank, Montana - she attended a one-room school house on a hill near the farm and went to the big city of Cut Bank for high school graduating in 1944. We kids have such fond memories of summers spent on the farm including the boys working with their Uncles Gerald and Vernon doing harvest and Cheryl learning bible verses from Grandma. You could take the girl out of Montana, but you couldn’t take Montana out of the girl. Annette left for Spokane in 1944 to attend Kinman Business School. She will be remembered by her days in the high-kick line at the Minstrel show at Lewis and Clark HS and her clogging days with the Hillyard Belles where she danced joy into so many lives. Her excitement for life and positive attitude was infectious to all around her. She always brought out the best in everyone she met. Remember her with a smile on her face as she shared her joy, excitement and love with us all. She will always be known for her love of family, compassion for friends, and an incredible faith in her Savior. Please join us in a memorial celebration of a life well lived on February 9, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Hillyard Senior Center. No flowers please, just a contribution to a charity of your choice.
